Coldplay has announced on its Web site that its north American tour has been postponed due to what the band is calling production delays and for that reason the show won’t be ready for its planned June 29 kickoff in Philadelphia.
According to the new revised schedule posted on the band’s site the Philadelphia show will now take place on July 25, while the tour will now begin on July 14 in Los Angeles. Instead of closing in Chicago on August 4, the tour’s final event will now take place in Boston on the same date. The release also stated that all tickets purchased for postponed concerts will remain valid for the new dates, but refunds will be available if people can’t make it.The band’s fourth album, “Viva La Vida or Death and All His Friends,” will be released June 16 internationally via Parlophone/EMI and a day later in North America via Capitol. First single “Viva La Vida” last week became the biggest hit of Coldplay’s career by jumping from No. 10 to No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100. Click here to visit Coldplay’s revised schedule.
