British singer Boy George is set to hit the road to tour North America and Canada - his first performances in the US in over a decade. The former Culture Club frontman, real name George O’Dowd, will play 25 venues across America, including two shows in Los Angeles.
The tour kicks off on July 10 in Aspen, Colorado and concludes on August 23 in Dallas, Texas.
O’Dowd made headlines in the US in 2006, when he was sentenced to community service and garbage duty after a New York judge charged him with wasting police time for falsely reporting a burglary in his Big Apple apartment.
Boy George rose to international fame in the early 1980s along when his band Culture Club released hit singles such as “Do You Really Want To Hurt Me?” and “Karma Chameleon.” The group sold over 100 million singles and 50 million albums all over the world.
