On May 5 and 6 Kanye West, the 10-time Grammy Award-winning rapper, will be performing in Florida. The rap star will be visiting Tampa and Miami as part of his “Glow In The Dark” tour, which will be headlined by Lupe Fiasco, N.E.R.D., and Rihanna.
The first of his two Florida stops will take place in Tampa at the Ford Amphitheatre at the Florida State Fairgrounds. The concert is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. The following night Kanye West takes his show to Miami as he performs at American Airlines Arena. The concert is scheduled for 7 p.m. too.
West, who has achieved superstar status in terms of hit records and music industry awards, will also play at Madison Square Garden in New York on May 13 at Chicago’s United Center on May 23.
His first three albums have received numerous awards and commercial success. His latest album, “Graduation”, won the Grammy for the 2008 Rap Album of the Year and grabbed the No. 1 spot on The Billboard 200 with first-week sales reaching nearly 957,000 units.

After cancelling a concert in Pittsburgh, PA last night, eleven-time Grammy winner, Alicia Keys, must cancel a second stop along her “As I Am Tour” due to a continued bout with swollen vocal chords. Kimbo Slice, whose real name is Kevin Ferguson, is a mixed martial arts fighter that rose to fame by appearing in several filmed underground fights which spread primarily on the Internet.
Based in Miami Florida, Kimbo Slice had one of his most notable fights in late 2004: an encounter with Sean Gannon, a former Boston Police officer who trains in MMA.
Slice, born on February 8, 1974, was defeated by Gannon and, due to the popularity of the fight video, Gannon began to put his efforts towards being a professional mixed martial arts fighter and fighting within the Ultimate Fighting Championship.
