The queen of hip-hop soul Mary J. Blige and superstar rapper Jay-Z are teaming up for their “Jay-Z & Mary J. Blige: Heart of the City” tour that will visit 25 America cities.
The Tour, which will start on March 22 in Miami, Florida, will take the two stars across North America with concerts at New York’s Madison Square Garden, Los Angeles’ Hollywood Bowl and Toronto’s Canada Centre among others.
Blige and Jay-Z are two of the biggest names in Hip-Hop and R&B. Together the two artists have sold 70 million albums world wide and possess 15 Grammy awards.
The opening concert will take place at American Airlines Arena in Downtown Miami. The home of the NBA’s Miami Heat has a maximum capacity of 20 thousand people and organizers are expecting these two urban stars to play in front of a packed house. In fact, due to overwhelming demand, the artists have been adding dates to their tour, with the latest case being a second performance at Madison Square Garden on May 7.
With concerts in Boston, New Orleans, Philadelphia, Houston, Toronto and Washington D.C. among others this tour promises to be a blockbuster that will sell out fast.
