Bruce Springsteen “The boss” is back, one of the greatest rock stars of all time will be out on tour again to promote his new album “magic” to be released in October 2nd . This album is Springsteen’s first in 5 years to feature the E Street Band. The same day as the album release Springsteen and his band will be starting a world tour that will kick off at the Hartford Civic Center, in Hartford CT.
Bruce Springsteen broke through to national recognition in the fall of 1975 after a decade of little success, at this point critics hailed him as the savior of rock & roll, the single artist who brought together all the exuberance of ’50s rock and the thoughtfulness of ’60s rock, molded into a ’70s style. His most famous album is “Born in the USA” which had seven hit singles and sold over ten million copies, making Springsteen a top performer at the same level as Michael Jackson & Prince at the time.
In the fall of 1993 Springsteen wrote “Streets of Philadelphia” as a sound track for the movie “Philadelphia” which was a film that told the story of a lawyer with AIDS and his struggle to defend himself from an unfair dismissal. The song became a Top Ten hit in 1994, winning the Academy Award for Best Song and cleaning up at the Grammy’s the following year.
This event promises to be a big come back for Springsteen and the E Street Band and concert tickets are already selling like Hot Cakes so it is important to buy them well in advanced. Go to www.ticketsofamerica.com for more information.
