The NBA Conference Finals features two teams in different conferences who have been there and done that. The Detroit Pistons and San Antonio Spurs have even worn the t-shirt - you know, the one with their respective team logos, the NBA trophy and the word “champions” stretched across it. En route to many NBA championships between the two, the Spurs have reached the Western Conference Finals every other year the past nine seasons, while the Pistons have appeared in the Eastern Conference Finals the last five years.
This is less familiar territory for their opponents. Fourteen years later, the Cleveland Cavaliers find themselves in the East Finals. Their last appearance - 1992 against MJ and the Bulls. Needless to say. They lost in six games. Eight years have gone by and the Utah Jazz, without Stockton and Malone, are back in the West Finals. I expect these teams to learn valuable lessons in their series. They are both up-and-coming title contenders, but don’t expect the Spurs and Pistons to pass on the baton just yet.
Speaking of the NBA Conference Finals, there are still tickets to the Spurs-Jazz Western Conference Final and the Pistons-Cavs East Final. In addition, NBA Finals tickets are available on demand. Check out Tickets of America for these and other sports, concert and theater events.
