Although volleyball is my favorite sport to play, basketball is my favorite sport to watch. If I could witness one game LIVE featuring the best and most popular players of any sport, it would be the NBA All-Star Game. Its true: the game itself doesn’t count for anything and thus loses its competitive edge.
It’s more like a fun pick-up game between friends on a Saturday afternoon, but isn’t that the beauty of it. NBA fans get to witness extraordinary plays that coaches would never permit in an average game. Shaq leading a fast break. Vince Carter dunking a ball off the glass multiple times. Yao Ming shooting three pointers. Alley oops every other play.
If the game remains close in the end, the competitive nature of the players does rise, defense becomes priority and coaches go back to the drawing board. Even games on the playground have dramatic finishes and so do NBA All Star Games.
The experience of NBA All Star Weekend transcends the game itself. Surrounding it, are competitions and festivities involving NBA legends, current NBA players and celebrities. It’s truly a celebration.
So its clients can enjoy this spectacle to the fullest, Tickets of America offers not only NBA All Star Game tickets, but tickets to the NBA Rookie Challenge, NBA Jam Session, NBA All Star Celebrity Game and much more. This year’s event will take place Feb. 18 in the entertainment capital of the world, Las Vegas Nevada.
If you have the opportunity to go, take advantage. I got a taste of NBA All Star Weekend last year when I saw the NBA Rookie Challenge in my hometown of Houston. I loved the atmosphere, and a lot happened off the court. NBA dancers from various teams collaborated to entertain the crowd, and rival mascots clowned each other. Unfortunately, I’ll have to catch everything via the boob tube this year. However, if you have a ticket you don’t want, give it to me, and I’ll be your best friend.
